Glebe Society's Bulletin is published ten times yearly
and contains news affecting Glebe, provides a forum for the exchange of
information, a community noticeboard and details of forthcoming Society
events. You can view back issues on this website by clicking
here.
Some
current issues featured in past Bulletins are published in this
website's News and Events page
and the Editor of our Bulletin
is happy to consider any matter pertaining to Glebe to be contributed
material for publication.
An example is the Leichhardt
Local History Group which seeks to promote local history activities
throughout the Leichhardt Local Government Area (LLGA); assists in fund-raising
for local history activities and community resources; acts as an advocate
for increased awareness of local history in the LLGA and facilitates networking
and liaison between history groups within the LLGA. For further information

The
first issue of the Annandale Amble (2003) has recently been published
by the Annandale Historical Society ($19.80 inc. GST, pp52). An occasional
publication, It contains historical information about our neighbouring
suburb of Annandale and is available by contacting PO Box 26, Annandale
NSW 2038. Available copies are diminishing so it is advisable to order
asap.

Glebe
Guide for Sale
While
the Bulletin is available only to members of the Society,
our walking guide, Historic Glebe, is available for
sale to members and the general public.
Historic
Glebe is a 40-page mapped guide to our suburb, describing the
many historic buildings, their significance and heritage value within
our Conservation Area. Some samples of the material contained in
the guide are published on the
History
page of our website. Historic Glebe is available at a cost
of $5.00.

Historical DIY Walking Tour Guides
The City Council wants both locals and visitors to discover more of historic
Sydney and has published a free series of walking tour brochures (1st
edn. August 2004), including a walking guide to Glebe and other areas

of Leichhardt and the former municipalities of Annandale, Balmain and
