Centipede’s Sunset Soirée Raises Much-needed Funds

The Maccas Fracas

Concerned locals handed out flyers identifying the multitude of coffee shops and restaurants which already provided good service and could potentially be disadvantaged by the increased competition a multi-national might provide. That night, some intemperate and cowardly person chose to express his/her opposition to the temporary development by hurling a brick through its window.  Read more »

On Saturday 12 March people gathered at Bidura, the former Children’s Court and remand centre located at 357 Glebe Point Rd to raise awareness and lend support to people who survived the injustices perpetrated against them when they were children. What is Centipede and Why Do We Support It?

Centipede at Glebe Public School Inc. is a community based, charitable foundation / service organisation that has been providing before and after school care for students at the Glebe Primary School since 1989. The care that Centipede provides includes meals, ie breakfast and dinner, and social development opportunities to local Glebe Public Primary School children.  Read more »

On Sunday 26 July a large number of people gathered at 27 Broughton St, Glebe for a ceremony to celebrate a well-known Australian sportsman. The champion boxer, Dave Sands was honoured when the nearby lane was named in his memory.  Read more »
