Members of the Glebe Society recently attended the launch by our Paddington colleagues of their book, "PADDINGTON: A history". The launch was held in the front gardens of the heritage listed Juniper Hall, Oxford St, Paddington. The guest speaker was actor Jack Thompson, who spent his early boyhood years in "Paddo".

The Land and Environment Court has approved the demolition of the former Remand Centre behind Bidura on Glebe Point Rd. Local views on this matter are polarised. Some see the building as a monstrosity that is out of place in Glebe. Others see it as having heritage significance as a good example of brutalist architecture.
