The City of Sydney will officially open both the renewed Foley Park and the Wireless House on Saturday 26th September at 11.00 a.m.

Celebrate the renewal of Foley Park and the Glebe Sesquicentenary. Throughout 2009 Glebe is celebrating its 150 years with art shows, exhibitions, tours and sporting events.

We invite you to join in the celebrations at Foley Park with entertainment and community stalls and refreshments for the first 1000 visitors. The improvements in the park include enlarging the children’s playground and relocating it further away from Bridge
Road, new paths and seating, levelling the surface of the central village green area and protecting the mature fig trees and planting new trees.

At the event we will officially launch the Wireless House sonic art project, designed by Dr Nigel Helyer with City of Sydney and generous support from National Film & Sound Archive and Glebe Bytes.
