Several members of the Orphan School Creek Bush Care group attended the Lord Mayor’s Reception for volunteers last month. Slides recording the activities of volunteer groups within the Sydney area were displayed during the Lord Mayor’s formal thanks to volunteers for the work they do, including ours. Clover Moore also mentioned Norma Hawkins as an example of someone in their mid-nineties who was still active.

Later in the month several representatives of bush care groups attended the presentation of a report on the survey the City of Sydney had commissioned to review reptiles and amphibians in the local government area.
